Crown Solicitor welcomes new Assistant Crown Solicitor
The NSW Crown Solicitor, Mr Ian V Knight, recently announced a key appointment to his Office. On 4 August Ms Nichola Constant will join the Crown Solicitor’s Office (CSO) as an Assistant Crown Solicitor, heading up the Employment Law practice group.
Ms Constant brings a wealth of experience to the CSO from her work in this area. She has acted for a wide range of government and commercial clients on employment litigation matters and the full range of employment and industrial issues. Mr Knight joins with his staff and clients in welcoming Ms Constant.
On 23 April 2014 the Department of Attorney General and Justice was renamed the Department of Police and Justice. As of 1 July the Department of Police and Justice became the Department of Justice. The Crown Solicitor's Office (CSO) remains an Executive Agency related to the renamed Department of Justice with the Crown Solicitor as Head of the agency under Schedule 1 of the Government Sector Employment Act 2013. The Crown Solicitor remains responsible to the Attorney General.
