The CSO's CPD events are exclusively for NSW Government lawyers and members of the NSW public sector.

Our CPD seminars and conferences are designed so that you learn from the best about key legal issues and topics relevant to NSW Government. Sessions are delivered by experts from within the CSO.

Solicitors may be able to claim 1 CPD unit for each hour of attendance at sessions relevant to their practice needs or professional development.

Key privacy law decisions impacting NSW Government agencies

Our next CPD seminar will be held during Privacy Awareness Week NSW 2024.

Hear from Tram Nguyen (CSO Principal Solicitor) as she discusses the latest privacy law decisions made in 2023 and early 2024, and learn about how they impact the interpretation of key privacy legislation.

This livestreamed session will provide an overview on the latest privacy law decisions from 2023/2024 and how they impact, among other things:

• the interpretation of the data protection principles in the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 and the Health Records and Information Privacy Act 2002
•  litigation of privacy cases in the NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
